The December Dodson & Horrell Employee of the Month award has been presented to Kate Nutt. The award recognises and celebrates the hard work and dedication that the staff at 11-time Champion Trainer Paul Nicholls’ yard put in to get the horses to the track in peak condition. Harry Derham, Assistant Trainer and his panel of selectors, which includes pupil Assistant, Charlie Davies, chose the winner and Harry presented the prize.
Harry commented, “Kate has been our Travelling Head Girl for the past four years, which involves working some very long hours taking our horses to race meetings up and down the country and being responsible for their turnout and care both before and after the race. The recent Covid 19 restrictions and regulations, the cold weather and the Festive period all make Kate's job that bit harder but we know she wouldn't want to do anything else!”
