Communications & Events Manager

To bring to life the Dodson & Horrell (D&H) brands through innovative and memorable event experiences and increasing conversation with customers through compelling social media campaigns and targeted PR coverage.

  • Develop and manage the D&H events and sponsorship programme
  • Develop and manage the D&H social media strategy and activity across all platforms. Delivering engaging and best in class assets and campaigns
  • Management of event activation, including event hardware and collateral
  • Agency relationship management of PR, Social and Event production agencies
  • Work independently with external event and sponsorship partners to shape and deliver event and sponsorship programme that supports business objectives. Ensuring all business documentation and contract management is undertaken
  • Budget and cost management
  • Support business development by activating consumer campaigns across social media platforms and event calendar
  • Work alongside colleagues to manage relationships with print and digital industry and consumer publications
  • Support brand strategy and campaigns, playing a key role in the management of the D&H Brand Ambassador programme
  • Act as brand guardian – ensuring all materials are on-brand and looking for opportunities to deliver best in class campaigns
  • Ensure all assets and activity is signed off in line with internal sign off processes and that evaluation is completed and reported
  • Work alongside colleagues to support the delivery of internal communications across the business

  • Ideally educated to degree level/graduate calibre
  • CIM/ marketing professional qualification is desirable

• Strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to interface confidently internally and externally at all levels

• Deliver great customer service 
• Commercial acumen and experience of dealing with and negotiating event and sponsorship agreements 
• Project management
• Budget management
• Fully competent in the use of Microsoft Office (excel, word, PowerPoint)
