Bardo Webber Show Team

INTERVIEW
The names Carol Bardo and Jayne Webber are synonymous with the showing circuit and together, Carol and Jayne have formed the renowned Bardo Webber Show Team. Based at Moor Farm in Berkshire, Carol and Jayne have been showing their string of horses since 2006 and first met back in 1998. Carol says: “Jayne and I first met when Richard & Marjorie Ramsay asked Jayne to show Soldier Brave, who was a rather difficult horse. I owned Soldier Brave and he was bred by the Ramsay’s. Under Jayne, he went on to win every major showing Championship, including Supreme Show Horse at HOYS in 2004”. From that moment on, Carol and Jayne decided that they wanted to establish a show yard of their own so that they could buy young horses and subsequently produce them to become top class show horses capable of qualifying for shows such as Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) and Royal International Horse Show (RIHS).

An incredible track record of producing show horses

Carol and Jayne now own a string of established and up-and-coming show horses and after six seasons together; the team has an unbeatable showing record.  Between them, Carol and Jayne have produced a selection of the country’s best show horses, such as The Humdinger, The Philanderer, Berkeley Square, Fait Acobbli, The Keystone Cob, Darcey Bustle, Silverstream and last but not least, Comberton Clancy – the HOYS and RIHS 2011 Supreme Show Horse of the Year, the first horse ever to have won both Supreme Championships in the same year.

Carol and Jayne hold the record for the most Championships won at HOYS in any one year and they class some of their wins at HOYS as their most memorable. Jayne says: “Many of our best wins have been with horses such as The Philanderer (Phil) and The Humdinger (Dinger). We won the HOYS 2009 Supreme Horse of the Year on Phil and then in 2010 and 2011, Phil won nearly every Championship that he contested including Royal Windsor, Great Yorkshire, and Royal Bath & West as well as reclaiming the title of Supreme Ridden Show Horse at (RIHS).

“Dinger is the only coloured horse to have won Supreme Coloured Champion at both HOYS for three years running (2009, 2010, 2011) and he also won every 2010 HOYS qualifier that he was competed in as well as a number of other Championships along the way. This year, he was also voted Show Horse Personality of the Year.”
