			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="bodytext">Following&nbsp;four months of tough competition and a collection of top quality entries for the Dodson &amp; Horrell (D&amp;H) and Horse &amp; Hound (H&amp;H) Young Rider Bursary, judges Richard Davison and D&amp;H technical director Chris Gordon have decided to pick two winners.<br /><br />The two talented riders come from the eventing pool and are Millie Dumas and Olivia Deane, both 17 years old. <br /><br />Chris Gordon said: “The standard of the final six was exceptional, but we felt Millie and Olivia were two deserving riders at different stages in their competitive career.”<br /><br />H&amp;H columnist Richard added: “My overall impression after viewing the entries is that Team GB is in safe hands with some of these guys as our future riders.”<br /><br />Millie and Olivia will receive a year’s supply of feed from Dodson &amp; Horrell, plus home visits from a nutritionist, a year’s subscription to H&amp;H and a one-to-one training session on their horse with a Dodson &amp; Horrell sponsored rider, which will feature in a future issue of H&amp;H.<br /><br />Watch Millie, Olivia and the other finalists — Jessica Lewis, Oli Lawrence, Becci Harold and Amber Woodhouse — in action at <a href="http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/youngridervideos" target="_blank" >www.horseandhound.co.uk/youngridervideos</a></p>]]></content:encoded>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="bodytext">Following three days of tough competition, Dodson &amp; Horrell sponsored rider Piggy French yesterday drove away her brand new Mitsubishi ASX after winning the CIC*** at The Mitsubishi Motors Hartpury Horse Trials (12-15 August 2010).</p><p>Piggy won on 12 year old gelding Jakata, owned by Mr Wally French &amp; Mr Michael Underwood. The combination has recently been selected for the World Equestrian Games (WEG) in Kentucky in September and cemented the selection with this fantastic win. Piggy and Jakata finished on a final score of 48, adding only 3.2 cross country time penalties to their dressage score of 44.8. Piggy and Jakata finished 1.2 points clear of second placed rider Andrew Nicholson on Avebury. </p><p>Piggy will next be competing at Sapey Horse Trials (17th &amp; 18th August).&nbsp;&nbsp; </p>]]></content:encoded>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="bodytext">Dodson &amp; Horrell sponsored rider Oliver Townend added yet another title to his CV with the Dodson and Horrell Novice Championship on Jeepers Creepers at The Festival of British Eventing presented by BETA. </p><p>Oliver was eighth after dressage in the 70 strong class and moved up to take the lead with a clear round over the coloured poles with Olivia Tappinâ’s Irish-bred nine-year-old by popular sire Ricardo Z. </p><p>They then jumped a swift and clear cross-country round to take the lead which could not be matched by the rest of the class and Oliver finished on a final score of 30.8, 3.4 points ahead of second placed rider Sharon Hunt on Azeb. </p><p>Oliver took the ride on Jeepers Creepers this time last year: “He is not the easiest to ride and can be a bit spooky show jumping but that was by far the best round he has ever jumped”, said Oliver after producing one of nine clear show jumping rounds in the class. </p><p>Oliver last won the Novice Championship in 2005 and has also won the Intermediate Championship twice previously. </p><p>Oliver was just one of two combinations from the 53 finishers in this class to finish on their dressage score.</p><p>You can next see Oliver in action at Aston-le-Walls (3), Daventry, Northamptonshire which runs from Thursday 12th August to Saturday 14th August.</p><p>For further news and results from The Festival of British Eventing, visit <a href="http://www.gatcombe-horse.co.uk/" target="_blank" >www.gatcombe-horse.co.uk</a>&nbsp; </p><p></p><p></p>]]></content:encoded>
