5th November - Dodson & Horrell Transport Fleet Wears Giant Poppies with Pride to mark Remembrance Sunday

The company is committed to commemorating Remembrance Sunday and raising funds for the Royal British Legion (RBL) – the UK’s leading Service charity which provides support and care to veterans and serving members of the Armed Forces.

Sam Horrell, Marketing Director at Dodson & Horrell, said: “The RBL is  a vital charity and very dear to our hearts.  Dodson & Horrell is pledging its support by proudly displaying the poppies on the transport fleet and will match the requested donation for the purchase of the poppies. Our fleet travels the length and breadth of the UK delivering feed and we feel that adorning our lorries with the poppies is an effective way of demonstrating our support of this worthwhile cause.”

Brian Walker, Treasurer of the Northamptonshire branch of the Royal British Legion, said: “It is great to have the support of a Northants company like Dodson & Horrell; they’re one of the largest businesses in the area and by adding our poppies to their fleet they will help us raise much-needed funds for the 2012 Poppy Appeal.”

Dodson & Horrell has a strong military connection and has been involved with the Household Cavalry and Royal Horse Artillery regiments for over 25 years. Earlier this year the company, and Royal Warrant  holder, as Horse Feed Manufacturer to Her Majesty Queen, fed over 500 horses from around the world at the Royal Windsor Horse Show and Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
