10th June - Dodson and Horrell Hunter Show at Bramham a Success

The Bramham International Horse Trials 2013 took place over the weekend, marking the 40th anniversary of the event.

For the fourth year running we have sponsored the Hunter classes at the Bramham International Horse Trials. The Dodson and Horrell Hunter Show took place on the first day of this 40th anniversary event - Thursday 6th June 2013. The Hunter Classes were, as always, a very popular competition and hosted a number of qualifiers for the prestigious Horse of The Year Show.

The staff team manning our trade stall arrived on Wednesday in time to see some of the horses warming up for the competition. Come Thursday it was time to meet and talk to visitors with our Area Manager, Sarah, taking just a moment away for a radio interview on Thursday afternoon.

The hunter classes held at Bramham were Lightweight, Middleweight, Heavyweight, Working Hunter and Novice Working Hunter. Our Marketing Manager, Annalise, spotted one of the competitors fed on Dodson and Horrell, Michaela Wood and Temple Mill, completing their preparations for the Lightweight Hunter class.

Advanced event stallion 'Up With The Lark' took part in Friday's stallion parade complete with a D&H quarter mark and the excitement continued on Saturday when Piggy French drew a huge crowd while signing autographs on our stand.

The event finished with the news that Laura Collett, one of our sponsored riders, finished 4th in the U-25 CCI 3* at Bramham.
